Two-column specification intake
Useful inputs include target luminous flux, CCT, CRI, beam requirement, drive current, thermal environment, controls interface, volume and project timing. Do not send confidential design files until an information-sharing process is confirmed.
The intake team first checks whether the request concerns a source family, a photometric document, color data or integration support. A useful answer depends on the exact part or series, intended current and temperature condition. If the request is still at concept stage, state the required lumen package, mounting geometry and visual task rather than choosing a component prematurely.
For optical work, include target beam angle, working distance and any UGR or spill-light limit. For color-sensitive retail or hospitality applications, identify CCT, minimum CRI and whether TM-30 or spectral power distribution is part of the approval record. For industrial duty, add ambient temperature, expected operating hours and the heat-sink or enclosure approach.
Application guidance supports selection; it is not a finished-luminaire certification. Prototype the selected source with its optic, driver and thermal path, then measure after stabilization. When requesting simulation files, identify the calculation software and confirm that the file corresponds to the tested configuration. Field results can differ because of installation tolerances, surface reflectance, supply conditions and aiming.
